Could this be true? And more importantly, is this finally the move to turn YouTube into a profitable operation? Google invested over $1.6 billion in the video streaming site almost three years ago, but the hugely successful parent company has made no secret of its troubles turning YouTube into a profitable venture. Now, tied in with the fact that they just re-kick-started the somewhat encouraging Partnership Program, YouTube looks to be right on the cusp of making a dollar.
YouTube turned heads this past week when it announced that it would be extending its Partnership Program to any users who’d like to get involved, but it’s not like much has really changed.
