Location and Language Targeting On Facebook Fan Pages
Facebook has just added new functionality for its fan pages which allows targeting audiences from specified countries or speakers of specified languages. This feature will make it easier for users to target different audience groups without having to produce ‘knock-off’ pages for the smaller groups. All audiences targeted will be able to see the same content on a single brand page rather than seeing less content on a page that is custom made for them.
This could become an effective means of advertising regional or local brands. Facebook brand pages could be used to target users on a more specific level, making the most efficient use of a company’s advertising.
